Celebrities and fashionistas treated to a stylish night at Pavilion Pit Stop
27 March 2012, Kuala Lumpur - For the fourth consecutive year, Pavilion KL continued its partnership with MasterCard Worldwide which presented the most anticipated red carpet event of Pavilion Pit Stop 2012. Themed ‘A Glamorous Night of Fashion’, the event reflected the pulsating hype and buzz of the Malaysian F1 Grand Prix. Celebrities, corporate heavyweights, influential media and the city’s most fashionable people rubbed shoulders at this exclusive event which saw a high-energy fashion show by international brands and a special musical tribute to Whitney Houston by Malaysia’s top diva Ning Baizura.
The 400 chic guests were also indulged with a fashion show by Shanghai Tang showcasing their latest collection called ‘The Rite of the Phoenix’. The glamorous affair was the perfect event to debut the new Vertu Constellation Quest Ferrari phone, whose design was inspired by the Ferrari 458 Italia. Karen Millen also showcased their Spring/Summer 2012 collection, an eclectic mood with abstract prints, intense tropical patterns and bold colors.
Speaking at the event were Joyce Yap, CEO-Retail of Pavilion Kuala Lumpur, and Jim Cheah, Vice President and Senior Country Manager, Malaysia and Brunei, of MasterCard Worldwide. The fashionable setting was the ideal time for Yap to announce plans for the opening of Fashion Avenue, the mall’s newest lifestyle precinct, in September 2012. Event sponsors including GH Mumm, the official champagne of the F1, Shu Uemura, Miko Galere and Symphony Illuminate were also acknowledged.
